Our policies cover every aspect of our centre's life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask our friendly office staff.
GLOSSARY
The following terms are used throughout the publication and refer to:
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) – The statutory framework for care and early learning in England. A revised framework was published in September 2025 and is mandatory for all early years providers, including maintained schools, non-maintained schools, independent schools and all providers on Early Years Registers.
Ofsted – is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills and regulates and inspects early years providers in England against the EYFS.
Parents – refers to mothers, fathers, legal guardianship, and primary carers of looked after children. There may also be other significant adults in children's lives and other relatives who care for them.
Practitioner – Any adult who works with children in the nursery or wraparound clubs.
Key Person – The named member of staff assigned to a child. Their role is to help ensure that every child's care is tailored to meet their individual needs, to help the child become familiar with the setting, offer a settled relationship for the child and build a relationship with their parents.
